    Lead Pastors

    Chip and Cyndi have been married and in ministry together for over 20 years. Prior to marriage, Chip spent 8 years in College Ministry. They have been part of the Pastoral Teams at First Assembly of God in Kenosha, Wisconsin and Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois. They spent 12 years as Missionaries in Kenya, where they were actively involved in Student Ministry, Bible School Leadership, and Pastoral Work. Chip & Cyndi served as the Lead Pastors of International Christian Center in Nairobi, Kenya prior to coming to Oak Brook. 

    Chip has earned an Undergraduate Degree in Bible and Business Administration from Oral Roberts University, a Masters of Divinity Degree from Trinity International University, and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. He is passionate about raising up a generation of leaders. His personal mission statement is to build B.I.G. (Best In God) people. 

    Cyndi attended UW La Crosse where she majored in Clinical Psychology. She has a heart to see people transformed and healed as they encounter Jesus in a personal way. One of her greatest passions is to see prayer revived in the heart of every believer. Cyndi is also zealous to see people equipped for works of service.

    Chip and Cyndi have two children; Benjamin & Cassidy. Benjamin lives in Texas serves on the leadership team at Eikon Church. Cassidy is living in California and serving as a worship leader at her church as well.

  • isaac ampil

    Community and Family Life Pastor

    Isaac (I.J.) has been attending Oak Brook Community Church since he was 4. He went to school at the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg and earned his degree in Visual Communications. He has worked in the field of graphic design and advertising his entire professional career. Although being raised in a Christian home, it was only until the age of 21 when he fully committed his life to Christ. Through various seasons, he served in youth, college and worship ministries. In 2011, he heard the call of the Lord to pursue ministry full-time and became a licensed minister through the Assemblies of God. He serves as the Community and Family Life Pastor at OBCC. I.J. loves the Lord and is passionate about people. His desire is to build meaningful relationships with others, while encouraging them to become devoted followers of Christ. He is currently working on a Masters in Theology and Mission at Northern Seminary. His joy is spending time with his wife and kids! 

    I.J. and Renee have been married since December 2009. Renee is passionate about children and her heart is that kids would have a personal relationship with Jesus as early as possible. I.J. and Renee have three children: James, Jada, and Jonah, and live in Villa Park.

  • Kelli schick

    Youth Director

    Kelli has been a part of the OBCC family since September 2014. At a young age, she felt drawn to overseas missions. Since Kelli enjoys teaching and mentoring young people, she spent her high school years tutoring underprivileged students and leading a middle school youth group. After graduating high school, she attended Harvest School of Missions in Mozambique led by Heidi and Rolland Baker. Upon arriving back in Chicago, her passion to see young people freed and restored as they encounter the love of Jesus was kindled afresh, and she enrolled in a local video training through Bethel’s School of Supernatural while serving at as a youth leader. When she began attending OBCC, she got involved with the youth group, building relationships with students while encouraging them in their faith. Now, she is currently earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Aurora University as she serves as youth director.

    As youth director, Kelli spends time connecting with students, teaching them to know who they are in Christ. She enjoys being invested in students’ lives, and one of her favorite things to do is pray with students. She is convinced that God longs to speak to everyone and is thrilled to encourage the body of Christ to cultivate intimacy with God. One of her favorite verses is John 17:3: “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” In her spare time, you can find Kelli enjoying her family and friends, running outdoors, learning new recipes, or exploring new places. She will admit that she’s pretty sappy, and she has been known to cry during Disney movies.

  • Angelica Ortiz

    Church Intern

    Angelica has been part of OBCC family since December 2015. She came here with her family from Venezuela after God miraculously opened doors for them. Since a little child, she was driven to "make the world a fairer place for everyone". She came to Christ in 2007 and that radically changed her perspective about life, people and societal transformation through the power of the gospel.

    She graduated top of her class in the Central University of Venezuela with a BA in International Relations and has an Associate Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from the International School of Ministry. Having worked for more than two years as Project Manager in distinguished Venezuelan non-profit organizations like, "Somos Posible" and "Venezuela Sin Limites," she developed her own social venture at the age of 18. Angelica is convinced that only the power of the gospel can truly transform our society and generate development, because "there is a need for a new heart in every person, before attempting to build a new, fairer society". Also she had been a volunteer in her local church in Venezuela for more than 8 years. Before coming to Chicago, she was leading the communications team and the college group, and has experience serving in street evangelism, community outreaches and a new believers follow-up.

    Currently, she is pursuing a double MA in Intercultural Studies and International Leadership at Trinity International University. Her heart is in community outreach, global missions, and social development. She enjoys outdoors activities, following trends in Social Media, learning through MOOCs, engaging in conversation about her home country, and sharing coffee with people from different cultures.

  • Joshua Edmon

    Pastor in Residence

    Joshua has been a part of the OBCC family since December 2016.

    He has earned an Undergraduate Degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity International University and a Masters of Arts in Urban Ministry and Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

    Joshua celebrated 10 years of marriage on May 26, 2017 with his wife, the former Sameka Goolsby. You will find Sameka serving kids and families in Kids Equip or singing on the worship team at OBCC. Joshua and Sameka have two children: Skylar and Zachary.

    The Edmon’s make their home in Oak Brook, Illinois.

  • Little tom & jenna jackson

    Pastors of OBC Deaf Church

    Little Tom serves as the Lead Pastor of Oak Brook Community Deaf Church. Little attended Loyola University and majored in Psychology and Theatre. He served many years, giving direct service to students in the Chicago Public Schools. In 1995, Little transitioned from working with students to working with teachers. He began training teachers on how to use his methods of teaching. He currently trains about 25-30 teachers during the summer months. He follows these teachers throughout the school year as mentor and classroom coach.

    In 2002, God directed Little to return to school for American Sign Language. Although he has no deaf relatives, it was God’s plan that he attend school and learn about deaf culture and signing. Little became involved with the deaf ministry at Oak Brook Community Church, and poured himself into that church, working as unto the Lord. In 2011, Little inherited that very same deaf church and is now the Senior Pastor. He is presently in the Living Word School of Ministry where he is learning to use the gifts and talents he has used these many years in ministry to the deaf.

    Jenna Ford Jackson is a communications coach and seasoned orator having worked as a professional actress, singer, model, and voice over artist for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of Roosevelt University and the Joseph School of Business (Valedictorian). Formerly, she served as Director of Dance Ministry and as a teacher for Foundations of Faith. She is the Co-Founder of Made In His Image Ministries, Inc. and is a sought-after public speaker.

    Little and his wife, Jenna Ford Jackson reside in the La Grange area with their two incredibly talented children: Brandon and Lauren.

  • Nick gellis

    Church Intern & Missionary in training

    Nick has been attending OBCC since the summer of 2016. Since the first day he was here he knew this was where God wanted him. After a radical encounter with Jesus the year prior, Nick has traveled to various countries and cities in America serving and sharing the love of Christ. Working with a missions organization, Cities for Christ, he has a longing to see entire cities and regions transformed with the power of the gospel. He has also attended Reinhard Bonnke’s school of evangelism. He has a heart for evangelism wherever he goes and wants to teach and activate the church into understanding that everyone is a missionary. 

    Whether it’s work, school, or the local grocery store, there is a dying lost world out there that need an encounter with God. His method of telling people about Himself is people and we carry His Presence everywhere we go. He has a burden to see people walking this out. 

    “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

  • Peter mckee

    Church Intern & Missionary in training

    Peter has been apart of the Oak Brook Community Church family since the fall of 2015. Peter believes that he is called to be an Evangelist to the nations and to impact souls all over the world. “The gospel of message of Jesus Christ has forever changed my life and has stamped my heart, I am on a mission to populate Heaven and Plunder Hell.” Peter gave his lift to the Lord when he was just 14 years old and by the age of 18 he knew God had called him to the ministry. 

    Peter earned his degree in Practical Theology at Fire School of Ministry in Chicago in 2017. He is now currently working with a ministry organization called Cities For Christ. They are currently looking to take the whole country of Panama for Jesus! They are based out of Chicago but the Lord had put an emphasis to reach South America.


    Administrative Assistant

    Grace has grown up church but it wasn’t until 2015 when she recommitted her life to following Jesus Christ. She is involved with various ministries here at OBCC and has a heart to reaching the lost and broken hearted though declaring the name of Jesus Christ. 

    Grace is currently working on her Bachelors degree in business and has a passion for non-profits. She lives in Clarendon Hills and has two girls, Noelle and Juliette.
