Equip Kids

OBCC Equip Kids mandate is to establish a culture that equips and releases children to be fully devoted to a lifestyle of wholeheartedness before God. We want to equip children in the knowledge that they are able to walk in boldness, zeal, and the power of God and that signs and wonders can be released through them.

Our heart is to intentionally develop opportunities for children of all ages to be equipped to preach, teach; to give from their heart to the poor; to worship; and to evangelize the lost. To this end, the Equip Kids leadership team strives to be intentional in providing opportunities to train children in biblical values from the Word of God and prayer, while encouraging them to express their gifts in worship, and the creative arts.

Awana Clubs*

Wednesday Nights, 6:15 - 8:00 PM

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. AWANA exists to tell boys and girls about God's love for them and Christ's sacrifice for them in addition to training them in the truths of Scripture and in the discipline of Scripture memory. These clubs meet on Wednesdays:

  • Cubbies (ages 3 and 4)
  • Sparks (K - 2nd grade)
  • Truth & Training for Boys (3rd - 6th grade)

Each club meeting is filled with a variety of wonderful activities. Game time includes fun and exciting team building recreation. During Small group time, children work on Scripture memory, discipleship and Bible reading. Large group time is when children will sing and receive clear instruction from God's Word. Other optional activities in addition to club night may include service projects and lock-ins. The OBCC AWANA program has been ministering to children throughout the western suburbs for over 30 years.

*Currently on hold for 2020-21 season.

CRAVE is our youth group ministry. We exist to call a generation to first personally experience the love of God and then respond back to Him by loving others.

We are a community of Junior High and High School students that gather around God's Mission - making disciples. Our desire is to impact this generation with the love of Jesus and we do this through practical expressions of serving, giving and love.

Our mission is to glorify the Name of Jesus! We do this by practically serving and loving our neighborhoods, communities, and the nations of the earth.

It is our vision to see our neighborhoods, communities and the nations of the earth come to know Jesus, follow Him and obey His life-giving commands. We strive to make this a reality through radical serving, extreme giving and unconditional love.

We gather every Wednesday night from 6:30-8:30 PM.

We are currently meeting in the Youth Room upstairs.
